States who are keeping our country
  • 1:01
    running today because not everything
  • 1:04
closes I'm talking about my beautiful
  • 1:06
wife the keeper working today at the
  • 1:08
Ronald McDonald House yeah someone's if
  • 1:11
you can't just close the facility kick
  • 1:14
the kids out I've suggested this very
  • 1:17
thing but that didn't go over too well
  • 1:19
is not yeah yeah well where to start do
  • 1:26
you want to dive right into Nike or do
  • 1:28
you want to research myself we both oh
  • 1:35
my goodness we did some research well
  • 1:37
this should be fun well let's start with
  • 1:39
the bullshit story from CBS is Nike ESU
  • 1:43
bullshit story Nike was set to sell a
  • 1:47
new sneaker that featured a 13 star
  • 1:49
American flag just in time for the 4th
  • 1:51
of July but the company suddenly pulled
  • 1:53
them out of stores if Nike was trying to
  • 1:55
avoid a controversy though it did not
  • 1:57
work here's Meg Oliver Nike set off a
  • 2:01
    firestorm after pulling their shoes
  • 2:03
emblazoned with the Betsy Ross flag an
  • 2:06
early version of the American flag with
  • 2:08
    13 stars and stripes
  • 2:10
used in the 1700s before slavery
  • 2:13
was abolished when you look at that
  • 2:15
early version of the American flag what
  • 2:17
does it symbolize well I see I see 13 I
  • 2:22
see the colonies and that leads directly
  • 2:24
to slavery in some cases the Betsy Ross
  • 2:27
flag has been co-opted by white
  • 2:29
    supremacist groups like the KKK
  • 2:31
    conservatives lashed out against Nike
  • 2:33
Republican senator Ted Cruz of Texas
  • 2:36
wrote it's a good thing Nike only wants
  • 2:39
to sell sneakers to people who hate the
  • 2:41
    American flag
  • 2:42
    Arizona's Republican governor Doug Ducey
  • 2:45
    withdrew all financial incentives the
  • 2:47
state promised Nike to invest in a one
  • 2:50
    hundred eighty five million dollar
  • 2:51
factory in Arizona and former Republican
  • 2:54
    presidential candidate Herman Cain
  • 2:56
tweeted nothing can happen in America
  • 2:58
anymore if Colin Kaepernick doesn't like
  • 3:01
it believe in something even if it means
  • 3:05
    sacrificing everything for NFL star
  • 3:08
Colin Kaepernick is the face of Nikes
  • 3:11
just do a campaign he reportedly
  • 3:13
complained and I heed the flag is an
  • 3:15
offensive symbol of slavery this is a
  • 3:18
great teaching moment and it brings us
  • 3:22
in contact with a history that most of
  • 3:25
us that most Americans do not want to
  • 3:27
deal with in a statement Nike doesn't
  • 3:29
mention Kaepernick but says they made
  • 3:31
the decision to halt distribution based
  • 3:33
    on concerns that it could
  • 3:35
    unintentionally offend and detract from
  • 3:37
the nation's patriotic holiday thank you
  • 3:40
for bringing us both sides oh that's
  • 3:41
    interesting
  • 3:42
that's interesting so I saw that cause
  • 3:46
it might come in handy thanks for both
  • 3:48
sides at the end he said that yeah hold
  • 3:50
on thank you for bringing us both sides
  • 3:54
    oh wait there's something I don't
  • 3:58
understand did she just say that when
  • 4:01
Nike released the news they didn't
  • 4:02
mention Kaepernick yeah want to deal
  • 4:07
with in a statement Nike doesn't mention
  • 4:10
Kaepernick but says they made the
  • 4:11
decision to halt distribution based on
  • 4:14
    concerns that it could unintentionally
  • 4:16
offend and detract from the nation's
  • 4:18
patriotic now didn't they at some point
  • 4:21
have to say the Kaepernick was called
  • 4:23
    them and ever did
  • 4:26
before we got to the cam predicting
  • 4:28
which I think I think we're gonna both
  • 4:30
conclude the exact same thing when this
  • 4:32
is over maybe maybe not maybe not but I
  • 4:36
have my conclusions I'm gonna draw but I
  • 4:38
do want to mention something where he
  • 4:40
says that he makes a point at the end of
  • 4:42
saying thank you for bringing us both
  • 4:44
    sides
  • 4:45
yeah what's both you're supposed to do
  • 4:47
anyway what was your and I'm thinking
  • 4:48
both sides which includes the comment
  • 4:51
that Republican groups like the KKK an
  • 4:55
operation that's not even in business
  • 4:57
and it's also not a Republican groups
  • 4:59
not a Republican conservative know that
  • 5:05
they've ever used the Betsy Ross flag as
  • 5:07
anything no but okay that's both sides
  • 5:11
yes oh yeah you got this is a great job
  • 5:13
of giving us a balanced report there's a
  • 5:17
business side to this a business report
  • 5:19
which is which I'd like to play from Fox
  • 5:21
Business where they asked a couple of
  • 5:23
astute questions how did this pass
  • 5:26
through the cracks of the full chain of
  • 5:28
command at Nike where it goes into
  • 5:29
production these sneakers get made and
  • 5:31
it takes a colin kaepernick to say hey
  • 5:33
this isn't cool right what does that say
  • 5:35
    about the organization they're supposed
  • 5:37
to be leaders I see them here as
  • 5:38
followers they say just do it I think
  • 5:41
they should change their slogan - should
  • 5:43
we do it should we do it right it's
  • 5:45
interesting because there was there was
  • 5:47
really no reaction until Kaepernick got
  • 5:50
involved and then after that I think the
  • 5:52
stock probably went down today after the
  • 5:54
governor of Arizona Governor Ducey got
  • 5:56
involved and said we're not gonna want
  • 5:58
to take away some of the incentives for
  • 6:00
Nike to do business in our state so
  • 6:01
that's why this might be different than
  • 6:02
the last time yeah for every action
  • 6:04
there's an equal and opposite reaction
  • 6:06
    Colin said what he said
  • 6:08
Nike responded that was their reaction
  • 6:09
now we see the reaction with the Arizona
  • 6:12
governor and what comes after this again
  • 6:14
it comes down to business but people
  • 6:16
don't like to be pushed around and until
  • 6:18
Colin Kaepernick gets out front and
  • 6:19
center and really becomes a communicator
  • 6:21
and starts to explain all the things
  • 6:23
    that are important to him
  • 6:24
right because then I wonder well okay
  • 6:26
this flag is no good how about today's
  • 6:28
flag how about the Philadelphia 76ers
  • 6:30
logo with 13 stars on it you've given us
  • 6:33
a poll ideas now I don't know you got to
  • 6:35
take the Betsy Ross bridge to get there
  • 6:37
    and Jersey it's
  • 6:39
let's go okay do you wanna you want to
  • 6:45
tell me about your conclusion well this
  • 6:47
is a publicity stunt to sell these shoes
  • 6:50
which will be back on the market
  • 6:53
the giveaway was if it hasn't been given
  • 6:55
away by now that this this bullcrap with
  • 6:58
the Arizona governor telling Nike to go
  • 7:01
pound sand has been rebuked he's back on
  • 7:05
board with Nike they're gonna put the
  • 7:07
plan in anyway this is less look not
  • 7:09
report it as much but that's yesterday
  • 7:12
morning it came out the whole thing and
  • 7:15
because the shoes already made they're
  • 7:17
very attractive shoes there if you like
  • 7:21
Nike shoes these are really beautiful
  • 7:23
and Kapernick whether he said anything
  • 7:26
or not who's not even the major player
  • 7:28
with and I came but this whole thing is
  • 7:30
designed to create a fuss to sell more
  • 7:33
shoes this is a scam from the get-go
  • 7:36
that was my initial reaction until I had
  • 7:43
a chat with the producer Moe who
  • 7:46
actually called me breathless about you
  • 7:49
gotta explain what I think is going on
  • 7:51
here and I came up with something
  • 7:53
different which is I you know I think
  • 7:56
the native add part is where the No
  • 8:00
Agenda thinking goes initially I'm not
  • 8:04
quite sure how they would bring this
  • 8:05
back I don't think it was an it first of
  • 8:08
all I don't think it was a native about
  • 8:10
promotion promotion for okay a promotion
  • 8:13
    busted for that a promotion it's a
  • 8:16
promotion now I'm gonna go in territory
  • 8:20
where I don't belong because I am NOT
  • 8:24
the sports guy of the no agenda show but
  • 8:28
    let's look at Colin Kaepernick's
  • 8:29
history now when he burst onto the scene
  • 8:32
he was they and again this is a lot of
  • 8:37
information I got from from Moe and Moe
  • 8:41
has standing he knows about sports and
  • 8:43
he's black so he can talk about some of
  • 8:45
these issues he said look Adam no one
  • 8:47
was even talking about him being a black
  • 8:49
quarterback it was Colin Kaepernick he
  • 8:51
    had the low-cut
  • 8:52
err he was in GQ magazine he was the
  • 8:55
hottie he was the he was the next best
  • 8:57
thing and and when he got injured the
  • 9:01
you know he couldn't gain the weight
  • 9:03
back and he just couldn't get back on
  • 9:05
the team and to review the genesis of
  • 9:08
his social justice kneeling this wasn't
  • 9:12
he didn't start off by kneeling during
  • 9:14
    the national anthem at all
  • 9:17
he started off actually he was sitting
  • 9:19
on the bench he had been sitting on the
  • 9:21
bench during the anthem for months
  • 9:24
before one photographer noticed it and
  • 9:28
she made a deal big deal out of said hey
  • 9:31
hold on a second how come you're not
  • 9:32
    standing during the national anthem
  • 9:34
you're sitting on the bench where's what
  • 9:36
what one could say is he was basically
  • 9:39
just being malcontent is the word like I
  • 9:44
fucking I'm not getting started I'm no
  • 9:45
good I'm just sitting here on the bench
  • 9:47
and then all of a sudden he was asked
  • 9:51
about it in the locker room this is a
  • 9:53
famous interview it is something that's
  • 9:54
evolved it's something as I've gained
  • 9:56
more knowledge about you know what's
  • 9:58
going on in this country in the past
  • 10:00
what's going on currently these are new
  • 10:04
situations this isn't new ground it's
  • 10:06
things that have gone on in this country
  • 10:08
for years and years and have never been
  • 10:11
addressed and they need to be I'll
  • 10:18
continue to sit I'm going to continue to
  • 10:20
stand with the people of that being
  • 10:22
oppressed to me this is something that
  • 10:24
has to change and when there's
  • 10:26
significant change and I feel like that
  • 10:28
    flag represents was supposed to
  • 10:30
    represent in this country is
  • 10:32
representing people the way that is
  • 10:33
supposed to haast and so he was sitting
  • 10:36
none of this kneeling business and
  • 10:38
that's when I first became aware of it I
  • 10:39
don't watch anything about sports I
  • 10:41
don't know that the guy was sitting but
  • 10:43
it was not that he made a big deal about
  • 10:45
sitting down for any political stance he
  • 10:48
was just being malcontents sitting on
  • 10:50
the bench and not getting up and not
  • 10:51
even caring and again just opinions of
  • 10:53
people who know much more about sports
  • 10:54
    than I do
  • 10:55
in that same locker room interview it's
  • 10:58
a very interesting question not really
  • 11:00
too concerned about that if something
  • 11:03
    happens
  • 11:03
that's only proven my point dr. Edwards
  • 11:06
has some experience with public stances
  • 11:08
this you were talking to him before
  • 11:09
    practices he's someone you've consulted
  • 11:11
with at any point of I mean once again
  • 11:16
it wasn't something I consulted anybody
  • 11:18
on it was a conversation I had when
  • 11:21
someone asked me about it dr. Edwards is
  • 11:24
    a good friend he's someone I talked to a
  • 11:26
lot and run a lot of things behind have
  • 11:27
a lot of conversations with this is the
  • 11:33
same interview this is before there was
  • 11:35
any kneeling and he's good friends and
  • 11:37
was talking to dr. Harry Edwards before
  • 11:40
the show who is dr. Harry Edwards does
  • 11:42
it ring a bell for you John cuz sure
  • 11:44
didn't for me oh yeah no he's a big shot
  • 11:46
at University of California and and also
  • 11:49
    probably the leading sociologist in
  • 11:50
    sports and he was instrumental
  • 11:53
instrumental in getting in fact it was
  • 11:57
50 years ago the Olympic project for
  • 11:59
Human Rights he was the one that
  • 12:01
inspired and and got the American
  • 12:05
sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos
  • 12:07
to raise their black glove Black Power
  • 12:10
salute when they won the medals in
  • 12:13
Mexico City the guy is an activist super
  • 12:16
activist so he's talking to Colin
  • 12:19
Kaepernick who's been on the bench and
  • 12:20
all of a sudden it's like oh yeah yeah
  • 12:23
this is this is a protest and and then
  • 12:25
he decides Kaepernick decides to take a
  • 12:29
knee after former Green Beret and NFL
  • 12:33
player Nate Boyer told him to do it
  • 12:35
which is interesting if you're against
  • 12:37
police brutality and and the weaponized
  • 12:40
state of America but I former player
  • 12:43
perhaps here's proof he did that
  • 12:44
according to numerous reports you had a
  • 12:47
problem you thought it was disrespectful
  • 12:48
when he initially sat and according to
  • 12:51
the reports you were one of the people
  • 12:53
that sort of had an influence upon him
  • 12:55
in terms of his willing to meal as
  • 12:57
opposed to sitting down for the audience
  • 12:59
out there for Americans everywhere could
  • 13:01
you explain the difference in your mind
  • 13:04
    between kneeling and sitting
  • 13:06
yeah the reporter of course they're
  • 13:07
interesting I mean a lot of people I
  • 13:09
think they they thought I was
  • 13:11
encouraging him to protest or that I was
  • 13:13
behind I was saying Colin you should
  • 13:15
    protest
  • 13:16
social injustice is by taking a knee and
  • 13:18
that is not the case he was sitting I
  • 13:20
was hurt by that I think more than I
  • 13:22
thought his disrespectful just kind of
  • 13:24
hurt me so through that conversation you
  • 13:26
know we talked about different ways to
  • 13:29
demonstrate you know what that might
  • 13:31
mean to people in my community in the
  • 13:32
    military community and I thought
  • 13:36
kneeling showed reverence in some way
  • 13:39
and respect in some way to those that
  • 13:41
fought and many of those that gave their
  • 13:43
life for what the flag in the anthem
  • 13:45
represents people take a knee to pray
  • 13:47
you know anybody almost anybody stand in
  • 13:50
front of your your wife-to-be you get
  • 13:52
down on a knee and you ask for her hand
  • 13:54
    in marriage
  • 13:54
out of respect and reverence for her
  • 13:56
what you just explained did you explain
  • 13:58
it exactly like that to college cabinet
  • 14:00
yeah so it wasn't a kneeling thing in
  • 14:04
the beginning he was I would surmise
  • 14:07
initially led by dr. Harry Edwards and
  • 14:11
then he kind of evolved into the
  • 14:13
kneeling which would get it more up
  • 14:15
front and center I'm sure that was
  • 14:16
agreeable to everybody who was in the
  • 14:19
Kaepernick camp and so then we know what
  • 14:22
happens and just a lot of back-and-forth
  • 14:24
and Trump gets involved in all kinds of
  • 14:26
    issues and eventually Kaepernick gets
  • 14:29
his first Nike deal but he also he tries
  • 14:33
to get hired at third he quits as and
  • 14:37
again I don't know how all this works
  • 14:38
but he quit trying to get hired by
  • 14:39
another team and then it was the helped
  • 14:45
me out here who was it that the wanted a
  • 14:47
higher rim damn it it doesn't well they
  • 14:56
worse they said he was being blackballed
  • 14:57
and then there was a settlement and he
  • 14:59
got yeah liked him and some other player
  • 15:02
got under ten million dollars before you
  • 15:04
take away the lawyers fees then he had a
  • 15:07
Nike ad but actually his girlfriend at
  • 15:09
the time was he was on track to get
  • 15:12
hired by the team whose name I can't
  • 15:14
remember she tweeted out a racist
  • 15:17
picture of the team owner you know
  • 15:20
    photoshopped into Django Unchained make
  • 15:22
it look like you know the guy was a was
  • 15:25
a slave owner and so you know then then
  • 15:28
    really nobody wanted
  • 15:29
but whose but whose been doing these
  • 15:31
deals for well as is typical in sports
  • 15:35
there's a lawyer and the lawyer who did
  • 15:37
all these deals for him as Mark Geragos
  • 15:40
    this should ring a bell
  • 15:41
Geragos is also the lawyer for Jesse
  • 15:47
    Smollett
  • 15:48
he's also lawyer for me see who else
  • 15:53
that he has a couple other of these fine
  • 15:55
people and at one point even Michael
  • 15:57
Jackson but where did we hear the
  • 16:00
Geragos name we heard the Geragos name
  • 16:02
in connection with a Nike extortion suit
  • 16:06
which was just dropped from the media
  • 16:08
you don't hear about it anymore which
  • 16:09
involved the one and only Michael
  • 16:12
    avenatti you remember there was
  • 16:14
indictments and a big big brouhaha I
  • 16:17
think what happened here you know now
  • 16:20
    that Colin Kaepernick has rebranded
  • 16:21
himself with the Nike ad he got the big
  • 16:23
afro all of a sudden no longer is he the
  • 16:25
sexy Super Bowl with a sexy ballplayer
  • 16:29
with all the abs now he's this social
  • 16:32
justice warrior who doesn't speak a good
  • 16:34
game really and I don't really remember
  • 16:37
him speaking about Trayvon Martin or
  • 16:39
Mike Brown or hands up don't shoot now
  • 16:42
this all came about after this after
  • 16:44
this incident where he was caught
  • 16:45
sitting down he turned it into kneeling
  • 16:47
this to me if you take the names into
  • 16:50
account of Jesse Smollett lawyer Mark
  • 16:56
    Geragos his direct connection with
  • 16:59
Michael avenatti this is an extortion
  • 17:02
this was this is Al Sharpton 2.0 I don't
  • 17:08
think that this is this is a promotion
  • 17:10
he came as shoes show up then then yet
  • 17:13
then I'm wrong then I'm wrong if the
  • 17:15
shoes show up I'm wrong but this guy has
  • 17:17
nothing going for him and all of a
  • 17:19
sudden even though he's not a
  • 17:20
spokesperson he's not out there talking
  • 17:22
to everybody about it just one little
  • 17:24
mention they stop I think they got
  • 17:27
pressured but what it were where's the
  • 17:31
    benefit to anybody
  • 17:32
the payoff extortion deals are result in
  • 17:38
cash they result in more ads they will
  • 17:42
    result in more
  • 17:43
and colin kaepernick will be doing more
  • 17:45
    for Nike I know I well I don't I'm not
  • 17:49
    seeing that
  • 17:50
no I'm this is again I think the
  • 17:52
Kaepernick thing was a red herring
  • 17:54
I think Kaepernick is already out of the
  • 17:56
picture because they moved they move
  • 17:57
along and these shoes will be back on
  • 17:58
    the market because they're very
  • 17:59
attractive shoes that people are gonna
  • 18:01
demand them back and they can the
  • 18:02
backlash and everything is all set up
  • 18:04
now it's possible if it was an extortion
  • 18:06
thing that does explain the Arizona
  • 18:08
turnaround where they ghosts look look
  • 18:10
at the ravine you started weed that's
  • 18:12
what we have to get a new factory I mean
  • 18:13
they could do that I could see that
  • 18:15
happening but I think they went to
  • 18:16
Arizona and said hey look this is just
  • 18:18
part of a promotion I don't know why
  • 18:19
you're being taken in by this which is
  • 18:21
my theory and I and both are equally
  • 18:24
possible I mean they're only put yeah
  • 18:27
the proof is in the pudding the proof is
  • 18:29
in the shoe is on the market beating
  • 18:31
theories and one end a competitive the
  • 18:33
proof of one or the other will be
  • 18:35
whether the shoes show up again as a
  • 18:37
product and the whole thing though
  • 18:43
here's the problem I'm having with your
  • 18:46
theory mm-hmm is that why are they
  • 18:49
bringing out a shoe with a Betsy Ross
  • 18:51
flag on it in the first place why not I
  • 18:54
mean it's almost to incite this kind of
  • 18:57
thing because there is going on right
  • 18:59
now and this do you hear this on the
  • 19:01
    right-wing talkers a lot the right-wing
  • 19:03
talkers and I've noticed I started
  • 19:04
noticing this so much than most of my
  • 19:06
research went into getting to the bottom
  • 19:08
of it the right-wing talkers are going
  • 19:10
on and on about how how and this
  • 19:14
explains if we remember the Democratic
  • 19:16
national debate there was no American
  • 19:19
flags on the on the stage correct and
  • 19:22
you listen to the right-wing talkers and
  • 19:24
they'll tell you that well you know
  • 19:25
there's research has indicated that if
  • 19:28
you see an American flag you become a
  • 19:30
Republican huh okay and this research is
  • 19:35
actually valid but it's not recent
  • 19:37
research and the American flag has been
  • 19:40
disappearing from stages for this for
  • 19:42
    the problem it's somewhat problematic
  • 19:44
because of because of a research report
  • 19:46
there was the first version of this was
  • 19:48
done in 2008 10 years ago and it was in
  • 19:55
    the political psychology Journal
  • 19:57
and the title is sowing patriotism but
  • 20:00
    reaping nationalism consequences of
  • 20:02
exposure to the American flag and this
  • 20:05
is well researched and I want to read
  • 20:07
for maybe that's why they didn't have
  • 20:09
the true American flag and the original
  • 20:11
13 colonies flag so is still not to make
  • 20:14
people Republican by looking at shoes
  • 20:16
but it's possible possible I think that
  • 20:20
flag is very attractive by the way just
  • 20:22
a brief exposure to an image of the
  • 20:24
American flag shit this is from the
  • 20:26
abstract shifts voters even Democrats to
  • 20:31
    Republican beliefs attitudes and voting
  • 20:34
behavior even though most don't believe
  • 20:36
it will impact their their politics
  • 20:38
according to a new two-year study just
  • 20:40
    published by the scholarly psychological
  • 20:42
science what's more according to three
  • 20:44
authors from the University of Chicago
  • 20:45
Cornell and Hebrew University the impact
  • 20:49
has staying power power a single
  • 20:51
exposure to the American flag resulted
  • 20:53
    in significant increase in participants
  • 20:56
    Republican voting intentions voting
  • 20:58
    behavior political beliefs an implicit
  • 21:00
and explicit and implicit attitudes with
  • 21:04
some effects lasting eight months these
  • 21:07
    results constitute the first evidence
  • 21:08
that non conscious prime priming effects
  • 21:11
from exposure to a national flag can
  • 21:13
bias the citizenry toward one political
  • 21:15
    party and can have considerable
  • 21:17
durability now that that study is backed
  • 21:20
up in 2011 eight years ago yeah but hold
  • 21:25
on hold on hold on hold it you're
  • 21:27
conflating a lot of things no no I'm
  • 21:30
just I'm just reading you disinformation
  • 21:31
you can you can analyze it after I'm
  • 21:33
    done
  • 21:34
I'm not conflating anything I'm just
  • 21:36
reading from an abstract this is the one
  • 21:39
that actually studies the singing and
  • 21:41
this was done in dissociation for
  • 21:44
    psychological science a single exposure
  • 21:48
to the American flag shift support
  • 21:50
toward republicanism up to eight months
  • 21:52
later and this is that's another whole
  • 21:57
research and this was all done a while
  • 22:00
ago but if you listen to right-wing
  • 22:01
talkers you think that this happened
  • 22:03
yesterday all this is information it's
  • 22:05
not yesterday it's been going on for a
  • 22:06
while the Republicans and the Democrats
  • 22:08
    both know it today
  • 22:10
Kratts keep the flag off the stages if
  • 22:12
they can Obama didn't do that he had the
  • 22:15
    flag all over the place
  • 22:17
the Republicans try to get the flags up
  • 22:19
they don't try hard enough that which
  • 22:21
seems to me to be stupid so the
  • 22:22
Republicans are dumb and the Democrats
  • 22:24
are being kind of wily this became a
  • 22:27
topic of conversation a little before
  • 22:30
the shoes came out so when the flag
  • 22:31
shows up on the shoes I think it started
  • 22:34
    this discussion underlying discussion
  • 22:36
that's going on because they brought
  • 22:37
this to everybody's attention and so the
  • 22:39
Democrats and Republicans are now taking
  • 22:41
two sides on the flag and the shoes are
  • 22:43
an emblematic aspect of it and Nikes
  • 22:45
just taking advantage of it okay so
  • 22:47
    you're telling me that a 100 billion
  • 22:49
    dollar company international company sat
  • 22:53
down at a marketing meeting and said
  • 22:55
here's a great idea we will use race
  • 22:59
race to promote these shoes resulting in
  • 23:05
this kind of discourse on bullcrap news
  • 23:08
television yeah cuz it you know words
  • 23:10
matter symbols matter - why don't we
  • 23:12
    wear a swastika
  • 23:13
for July 4th because I don't know it
  • 23:15
makes it makes a difference the cross
  • 23:17
burning on somebody's lawn why don't we
  • 23:18
just have a Nike you know celebration of
  • 23:21
the well because those those symbols are
  • 23:23
symbols of hate so we can take PC
  • 23:26
culture back it's amazing to me the
  • 23:27
people who require the loudest about PC
  • 23:29
are the ones who didn't show up on the
  • 23:31
fence first occurred who didn't defend
  • 23:33
the people who were victims of white
  • 23:35
supremacy or racism or sexism or
  • 23:37
misogyny but now pop up and say hey
  • 23:39
let's not be too PC if you ain't fought
  • 23:41
the battle if you haven't celebrated the
  • 23:43
process you can't acclaim the product so
  • 23:45
at this point I think people need to be
  • 23:47
honest about it and say it's not a
  • 23:49
matter of PC there are many people
  • 23:50
    within communities of color who
  • 23:52
    understand complexity complication you
  • 23:54
can't have it the way you want it but
  • 23:55
something so glaring and so apparent
  • 23:57
that has to be dealt with
  • 23:59
so Nike actually had this meeting and
  • 24:02
said this is a great idea we're gonna
  • 24:04
use race to divide everybody to demote
  • 24:07
our shoes devolved the flag the flag
  • 24:11
Republic does all these to announce I
  • 24:13
just read you that you're criticizing
  • 24:14
before both of them aren't talking about
  • 24:16
race neither one of them talks about
  • 24:18
    race they're talking about the
  • 24:20
    controversy between Democrats and
  • 24:21
    Republicans
  • 24:22
    Carlin cat
  • 24:23
yeah but colin kaepernick didn't say
  • 24:25
anything about the flag and that he's
  • 24:27
the the report is it's racist you have a
  • 24:30
tape of Colin Kaepernick saying anything
  • 24:32
it's only thank you this is exactly my
  • 24:35
    point
  • 24:37
exactly my point why is that there's
  • 24:40
nothing that he's not out there being a
  • 24:42
big social justice warrior against this
  • 24:44
it's Nike set up we got a call we got to
  • 24:47
pull it off the shelves really no yes no
  • 24:50
no no no this is extortion to show back
  • 24:53
up and it may even be part of a
  • 24:55
    longer-term strategy where they don't
  • 24:57
only show back the Nike should be
  • 25:00
ashamed of themselves Flags Nike should
  • 25:03
be ashamed of themselves and it caught
  • 25:05
flags and if Colin Kaepernick shows up
  • 25:08
doing doing more Nike promotion or some
  • 25:11
    kind of political correctness promotion
  • 25:14
whatever it is somewhere someone got
  • 25:16
paid off for this I just can't believe
  • 25:19
that a company would risk that there the
  • 25:22
whole operation what if that came out
  • 25:25
hey I got a great idea we're gonna
  • 25:26
promote this this is just my thesis this
  • 25:32
is this is not even close to coming I
  • 25:35
was never gonna come out this is well
  • 25:37
the the promotion part I've heard
  • 25:39
several people's take on this and and
  • 25:41
    you know it's it's a reasonable thought
  • 25:44
but it's really not because isn't
  • 25:46
there's no way a company like this comes
  • 25:49
up with that kind of marketing strategy
  • 25:51
where they kept a secret oh well how
  • 25:53
these great shoes I don't know what it
  • 25:55
cost to bring some shoes to market but
  • 25:56
it's you know you got design you got
  • 25:58
    manufacture you got shipping packaging
  • 26:00
you got marketing slave labor and then
  • 26:02
and then all of a sudden we're gonna
  • 26:03
    pull back there's a great idea we're
  • 26:05
gonna create some some some political
  • 26:07
and racial controversy just before July
  • 26:10
4 different or again I don't think the
  • 26:14
racial thing was an element I think it
  • 26:16
just happened to come into it because
  • 26:17
who would think that Betsy Ross flag had
  • 26:20
anything to do with race it was like was
  • 26:22
that was the crazy part that was like
  • 26:23
the crate is so far as insofar as the
  • 26:25
marketing guys concerned that's a bonus
  • 26:28
all right well I think you're wrong and
  • 26:30
we shall see but please believe me
  • 26:35
at the Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson
  • 26:37
model has not kept up with technology is
  • 26:40
not kept up they've not kept up with the
  • 26:43
with the perfect scam they're not doing
  • 26:45
it right anymore this is a good one and
  • 26:48
look at the people involved Mark Geragos
  • 26:51
Michael avenatti who were indicted for
  • 26:53
extorting Nike Mike 11 I had nothing to
  • 26:57
do with the Betsy Ross flag incident
  • 27:01
    there's no connection between avenatti
  • 27:04
and this particular thing you're talking
  • 27:05
the connection is between avenatti and
  • 27:07
Geragos who were both named in an
  • 27:10
extortion suit against Nike this past
  • 27:13
year then was they tried to extort 20
  • 27:17
million dollars by saying that Nike was
  • 27:19
going around I'm not arguing that that's
  • 27:22
a fact Colin Kaepernick is a client of
  • 27:26
Margar agos yes his clients guilt by
  • 27:29
association thing which I think is valid
  • 27:31
in this case is set for avenatti he's
  • 27:33
got nothing to do with this scam okay
  • 27:38
well I mean if he does he's really
  • 27:40
fucked but I know what you're thinking I
  • 27:44
    think it's a good I think it's very well
  • 27:46
constructed but unless if the shoes
  • 27:49
don't come out then you're right all
  • 27:53
right that's it's that simple and it
  • 27:55
doesn't count if they come out with a
  • 27:56
different flag no actually I I'm
  • 28:02
thinking they do it from a marketing
  • 28:04
perspective what you want to do is come
  • 28:06
out with a bunch of different flags
  • 28:08
including the Betsy Ross flag well Ross
  • 28:11
flag has to be in play cuz the guy that
  • 28:14
black professors going on about the
  • 28:16
Betsy Ross flag me something to do with
  • 28:18
    slavery is ludicrous
  • 28:21
right but did you know he's all American
  • 28:23
flags did you know to slay Flay did you
  • 28:25
notice how the mainstream jumped on this
  • 28:28
couldn't come up with an actual
  • 28:31
historical reason why this flag is
  • 28:34
racist and so the narrative has become
  • 28:38
there are groups who use that flag
  • 28:42
yeah dice that's the bullcrap right
  • 28:46
let's look at the game okay can you have
  • 28:48
any website I want to see if they're web
  • 28:51
you know this is John this is truly a
  • 28:54
    false flag come on now
  • 29:02
my goodness I'm looking here at the KKK
  • 29:06
yeah entering together they got a Nazi
  • 29:09
symbol on a on a clover leaf they got a
  • 29:13
bunch of things but I'm not seeing Betsy
  • 29:16
Ross so this is I think you're I think
  • 29:21
that by the way I think you're dead-on
  • 29:22
that has to be what happened the media
  • 29:25
had this thing they had to find some
  • 29:27
connection to racism so they found maybe
  • 29:30
there's one group of some old layer or
  • 29:34
whatever they call themselves as Betsy
  • 29:36
Ross flag is a symbol I don't know of it
  • 29:38
hey I just I didn't it sure not shown as
  • 29:42
a symbol in blue and the what the hell's
  • 29:46
the name of that clan movie that was
  • 29:49
done by Spike Lee black Klansmen
  • 29:55
well there's one who was there of Betsy
  • 29:57
    Ross flag in that I
  • 30:01
no I don't think so I don't think so and
  • 30:03
it wasn't in the movie I'm thinking of
  • 30:04
the great movie that was done in the
  • 30:05
late 20s that something in nations Birth
  • 30:09
of a Nation Birth of a Nation was about
  • 30:12
the origins of the Klan and there was no
  • 30:14
Betsy Ross flag ever reference this
  • 30:16
bullcrap so the so the genesis of the
  • 30:20
story is from the Wall Street Journal
  • 30:22
and I'll read from the story Nike Inc is
  • 30:25
yanking AUSA themed sneaker featuring an
  • 30:28
early American flag after NFL star
  • 30:30
    turned activist Colin Kaepernick told
  • 30:32
the company it shouldn't sell a shoe
  • 30:34
with a symbol that he and others
  • 30:35
    consider offensive according to people
  • 30:38
familiar with the matter so ill you with
  • 30:45
the matter so this so I don't think
  • 30:48
    Kaepernick even called the company
  • 30:50
    someone started someone started this
  • 30:53
thing going maybe it went straight to
  • 30:55
the to The Wall Street Journal who knows
  • 30:57
it was according to people familiar or
  • 31:00
familiar with the matter and I think
  • 31:04
Nike heard this went holy crap we got to
  • 31:08
stop this shit that's a possibility but
  • 31:11
that again shit says the shoes will
  • 31:13
never come out but after all this from
  • 31:15
    another person just read listen
  • 31:16
Kaepernick is a public personality he
  • 31:19
has an agent you can call him why does
  • 31:21
the Wall Street Journal not call him why
  • 31:24
let me read the column you can say he's
  • 31:26
not available for comment let me read
  • 31:27
the next let me read the next paragraph
  • 31:29
it would answer your question after
  • 31:31
images of the shoe were posted online
  • 31:33
mr. Kaepernick and Nike endorser with no
  • 31:36
more contract reached out the company
  • 31:38
officials saying that he and others felt
  • 31:40
the Betsy Ross flag is an offensive
  • 31:42
symbol because of its connection to an
  • 31:44
era of slavery the people said some
  • 31:47
users on social media responded to posts
  • 31:49
about the shoe with similar concerns mr.
  • 31:51
Kaepernick declined to comment now if
  • 31:56
this way why would he declined to
  • 31:58
comment because all had to happen was
  • 32:01
this news had to come out so that they
  • 32:03
would be for joy talking from your that
  • 32:05
    perspective hell with that
  • 32:06
    I'm talking about the journalistic
  • 32:08
perspective if you're writing a story
  • 32:11
    and this guy's got a you've got a rumor
  • 32:14
    that this guy said
  • 32:15
something he's a public personality with
  • 32:17
an agent and you can get a hold of it
  • 32:18
apparently they did but he declined to
  • 32:20
comment why would he declined to comment
  • 32:23
he's an activist he would have commented
  • 32:25
exactly made his story is bogus maybe it
  • 32:29
was Geragos who said maybe I'll have
  • 32:32
Collin talk about your damn shoe well
  • 32:35
that no that's getting into the
  • 32:37
conspiracy side of things but I do but
  • 32:42
again why wouldn't they quote Geragos
  • 32:46
    because you're a journalist and you're
  • 32:48
writing this story you're getting people
  • 32:50
on the record on this one because it's
  • 32:51
not like it's a secret in the White
  • 32:53
House it's not something from the CIA
  • 32:55
that you can be thrown in jail for
  • 32:57
revealing this is a simple thing yeah
  • 33:00
well maybe why doesn't Geragos get
  • 33:02
quoted why doesn't Kaepernick get voted
  • 33:04
that people familiar with the thing who
  • 33:07
is who is the people why don't we call
  • 33:09
them well that's why I was so interested
  • 33:11
when I heard your your clip they said
  • 33:13
there was no mention of Kaepernick in
  • 33:15
the retraction of the shoe announcement
  • 33:18
    that's interesting the whole thing
  • 33:22
stinks yes but we'll keep it at this
  • 33:25
we'll keep it between promotion and
  • 33:27
blackmail and and we'll keep it and we
  • 33:30
can disagree on this well no we won't be
  • 33:34
disagreeing forever no no when I'm right
  • 33:36
you will come to me and you will come
  • 33:37
gross not gonna have that alrighty then
  • 33:44
congratulations to Gabe comm they joined
  • 33:48
the well at least they they released
  • 33:51
their new system today which is a
  • 33:55
mastodon clone or a fork I should say
  • 33:58
and they have not completely federated
  • 34:02
yet so I haven't been able to I can
  • 34:04
follow myself from no agenda social
  • 34:06
c'mon gab I haven't been able to do with
  • 34:08
the other way around posts aren't
  • 34:09
showing up yet but it's a big thing that
  • 34:12
they're doing and already the social
  • 34:16
justice mastodon feta verse is is
  • 34:19
laughing at them and tell them that
  • 34:21
they're losers why thank you if you're
  • 34:25
into this federated thing like you are
  • 34:27
    because they
  • 34:28
why would you not just encourage the
  • 34:31
whole world to go well holdin to know
  • 34:35
the Fed of that you know the Fed of ours
  • 34:37
is run by social justice warriors
  • 34:40
you know it's built by oh yes that's
  • 34:43
right you told me this is built by them
  • 34:44
they're ready to block as soon as they
  • 34:47
come on not everybody did their phonies
  • 34:50
they're just a bunch of Nazis that you
  • 34:52
    know that's true that's that's what
  • 34:54
that's what they're saying yeah so now
  • 34:56
that you know they've got this up and
  • 34:57
running and it's not really up and
  • 34:59
running yet immediately it's like ah
  • 35:01
losers I'd I say give them give them a
  • 35:04
week or so to get everything going it'll
  • 35:07
take longer than that maybes you know
  • 35:09
you got a lot you got a lot of users
  • 35:11
you're trying to make the the pub/sub
  • 35:14
activity work and everything I can just
  • 35:16
see all the problems but it's it's a
  • 35:20
    start it's a start
  • 35:23
well good it's a gap is a a little more
  • 35:28
open than Twitter that's for sure well
  • 35:31
yeah but you know and there's more and
  • 35:33
more Nazis which is a lot more fun a
  • 35:37
single Nazi posts and I don't really do
  • 35:40
much on gab I just seems to me to be
  • 35:44
pretty much like Twitter only a little
  • 35:46
more complaining yeah and you don't see
  • 35:50
post with this tweet is not available I
  • 35:52
don't see that which is the thing that
  • 35:55
    bothers me the most
  • 35:56
well I mean I hope I never go to gap and
  • 35:59
see this tweet is not available anyway
  • 36:04
moving away from the United States for a
  • 36:06
moment we have some big news coming from
  • 36:12
the Euro land from the eurozone as it
  • 36:16
looks like there have been some
  • 36:18
decisions made in the leadership now the
  • 36:24
way it works in and I have a couple of
  • 36:26
clips here the way it works in the
  • 36:27
European Parliament we have the European
  • 36:29
with the European Parliament of which we
  • 36:31
have a president we have the European
  • 36:32
Commission we have the European Council
  • 36:35
then we have the European Central Bank
  • 36:37
    and you recall that
  • 36:40
we had the Spitz and Connie dot process
  • 36:43
which is each of the parties the big
  • 36:47
parties in each of the 27 member states
  • 36:49
all say okay here's here's the person we
  • 36:51
would like to have as the president of
  • 36:53
the Council of the Commission of the
  • 36:56
Parliament and choose between one of
  • 37:00
these and then I think it is the council
  • 37:03
itself who goes into the back room and
  • 37:05
deliberates for days on end and they
  • 37:07
choose by secret ballot they choose the
  • 37:10
winners it doesn't necessarily have to
  • 37:11
be the Spitz and Connie Dot
  • 37:13
    interestingly enough well there's more
  • 37:15
than just a little frustration amongst
  • 37:16
every piece here in Strasbourg about
  • 37:18
what's happened over the last couple of
  • 37:20
days that yet again it is the council
  • 37:22
that is taking control of who should get
  • 37:24
the top jobs in Europe for the last
  • 37:27
couple of decades this place the
  • 37:29
European Parliament has been trying to
  • 37:30
exert its authority its legitimacy it
  • 37:33
would argue as only directly elected
  • 37:36
elements of the EU institutions that it
  • 37:39
should be able to put forward its
  • 37:40
candidates to take over those leach jobs
  • 37:43
    that's what the spritzing candidate
  • 37:44
process was all about it happened in
  • 37:47
2014 with jean-claude Juncker but it
  • 37:49
seems to have no ties with jean-claude
  • 37:53
Juncker because when you look at it none
  • 37:55
of the lead candidates form this
  • 37:57
Parliament have managed to make it into
  • 37:59
those and top their jobs they are
  • 38:02
frustrated here because they look at
  • 38:04
those decisions made in Brussels in the
  • 38:05
back rooms in which leaders have been
  • 38:08
    essentially writing our names and
  • 38:10
scratchy notes and others there is not
  • 38:12
as they would say here very transparent
  • 38:14
not very democratic so who exactly was
  • 38:18
chosen well it should come as no
  • 38:20
surprise that a German leader is always
  • 38:22
needed at the head of the the European
  • 38:25
Union project since it truly is the
  • 38:28
German Reich that is running this where
  • 38:30
German gotta have it gotta have a German
  • 38:33
running the show but we know what the
  • 38:35
choices were based on because we
  • 38:37
actually titled one of our shows after
  • 38:39
the reason for the choice of the people
  • 38:41
who have been chosen national leaders
  • 38:43
have finally agreed on the nominations
  • 38:46
for the EU stop jobs but their choices
  • 38:48
still have to be approved by the
  • 38:49
European Parliament two women have been
  • 38:52
    four key posts Germany's Defense
  • 38:55
Minister Ursula from the lion to head
  • 38:57
the EU Commission and the French head of
  • 38:59
the IMF Christine Lagarde the European
  • 39:02
    Central Bank
  • 39:03
well the European Council made up of
  • 39:05
leaders from all 28 member states had
  • 39:08
spent a grueling three days in Brussels
  • 39:10
trying to thrash out a compromise after
  • 39:13
    marathon negotiations holding the
  • 39:15
leaders in Brussels for three days an
  • 39:18
    agreement Belgian Prime Minister Sharma
  • 39:20
shell the only person actually present
  • 39:22
at this summit who'll take one of the
  • 39:24
top jobs as european council president
  • 39:27
but it's the last-minute outsider german
  • 39:30
defence minister ursula von der Leyen to
  • 39:33
take what's considered president we have
  • 39:39
chosen two women and two men for the
  • 39:42
four key positions the other woman did
  • 39:52
you know that Europe is a woman yeah
  • 39:57
after all its first of all he says
  • 39:58
gender balance we knew that's what it
  • 40:00
was gonna come down to oh we got two
  • 40:01
women we got two men were gender balance
  • 40:03
we are so fair about it
  • 40:11
there you go Europe is a woman Romer
  • 40:14
just remember that the other woman is
  • 40:16
    Christine Lagarde head of the
  • 40:17
    International Monetary Fund and former
  • 40:19
    French finance minister notably the
  • 40:21
    European Commission president is not
  • 40:23
being selected as the lead candidate
  • 40:25
from the winning political grouping in
  • 40:28
    the European Parliament
  • 40:29
that would have been Manfred Weber from
  • 40:31
the EPP well von der Leyen
  • 40:34
is from the EPP political family this
  • 40:36
choice may mean the so called spittin
  • 40:38
candidate system is now over so not only
  • 40:43
did they not choose to they wanted hold
  • 40:44
    on a second
  • 40:45
so that's a huge surprise the the actual
  • 40:48
way that might be somewhat democratic is
  • 40:50
now kicked out the door goodbye and
  • 40:54
Ang's and Widdicombe of the brexit party
  • 40:58
Nigel Farage's party in the European
  • 41:00
Parliament she was pissed off about it
  • 41:04
Thank You president it's a great honor
  • 41:06
speak on behalf of the largest single
  • 41:08
party in this place and may I say that I
  • 41:13
if I needed any convincing at all that
  • 41:16
the best thing for Britain is to leave
  • 41:19
here as soon as possible it was the way
  • 41:22
    that those elections were conducted
  • 41:23
yesterday because if that is this
  • 41:27
place's idea of democracy then that is a
  • 41:31
serious betrayal of every country that
  • 41:35
is represented here because it is not
  • 41:38
democratic at all and that is just one
  • 41:42
of many reasons why Britain is right to
  • 41:46
be leaving this place hopefully on
  • 41:49
Halloween and it is right because there
  • 41:54
    is a pattern consistent throughout
  • 41:57
history of oppressed people turning on
  • 42:01
    the oppressors slaves against their
  • 42:04
owners the peasantry against the feudal
  • 42:08
    barons colonies mr. Verhofstadt against
  • 42:11
their empires and that is why Britain is
  • 42:16
leaving and it doesn't matter which
  • 42:20
language you use we are going and we are
  • 42:24
glad to be going I represent the
  • 42:27
southwest of the United first day but
  • 42:36
this place is decided least this place
  • 42:39
    hasn't the powers-that-be have decided
  • 42:41
to actually increase the size of
  • 42:44
    fishermen's meshes thereby reducing
  • 42:48
their income by 40 percent that's what
  • 42:50
you do here that's why we're going that
  • 42:53
    ruler their gang we're artists
  • 42:58
    [Applause]
  • 43:01
the the troll room correctly identified
  • 43:04
this as a as a complete dead ringer for
  • 43:07
any Monty Python sketch and then to end
  • 43:12
up with V again I didn't know but like
  • 43:14
those those those women in the thirty
  • 43:16
thirties comedies that used to have that
  • 43:18
high common character in the 1930s WC
  • 43:26
Fields used them by the Marx Brothers
  • 43:27
used them died conceived a few of them
  • 43:30
    there's Margery I can't remember her
  • 43:32
last name there's a bunch of them and
  • 43:34
they could do that voice I'm went to
  • 43:38
dinner a friend of Mines house one time
  • 43:40
in and outside of he's evidence sèvres
  • 43:43
outside of Paris and yet they brought
  • 43:46
over their cousin or something and she's
  • 43:48
a young woman about in her I guess
  • 43:50
thirties mayor young thirties or real
  • 43:52
late 20s maybe and she as a young person
  • 43:55
actually had that voice I've never heard
  • 43:59
it in the wild ever I was my jaws
  • 44:02
dropped the whole haha I learned
  • 44:04
something but he talked like this I
  • 44:06
learned something new in that clip that
  • 44:07
the EU EU is determining what kind of
  • 44:10
toilet you can have how much water can
  • 44:13
flush what kind of light bulb you can
  • 44:14
have you know these are all things that
  • 44:16
    people get pretty
  • 44:16
about good at the public I did not
  • 44:19
realize that they had put in a
  • 44:20
regulation to increase the Nets the size
  • 44:23
of the netting apparently smaller fish
  • 44:26
get through these guys their brazen man
  • 44:30
no no no that Nets illegal oh you can't
  • 44:32
use that there's a before I have one
  • 44:35
more thing from Nigel Farage but there's
  • 44:37
also now a European directive for
  • 44:40
electric vehicles in the EU I think by
  • 44:43
    2022
  • 44:44
they all have to make noise cuz
  • 44:48
otherwise just blind people who get run
  • 44:50
over yeah this is this is the S sound
  • 44:53
this is the sounds that are being
  • 44:55
proposed yeah these are the system right
  • 44:57
no it's not a joke from the BBC
  • 45:02
that's the sound the electric vehicles
  • 45:05
are supposed to make a song sounds like
  • 45:09
somebody is like a bad organ player I
  • 45:11
think they should use this if the place
  • 45:15
is crawling with these cars making their
  • 45:17
noise you don't nuts this is the one you
  • 45:20
want that's what you want that would be
  • 45:32
some seen that coming down the road now
  • 45:35
before you go on which I wanted here
  • 45:37
there's next step obviously is don't
  • 45:40
what do you think is going on with
  • 45:41
christine lagarde cuz she would she's
  • 45:43
for the Americans in the IMF I believe
  • 45:47
do you think she's gonna be a mole over
  • 45:50
there or she's just gonna switch sides
  • 45:52
to be coming to you oh no no no this is
  • 45:55
    complete complete globalization you know
  • 45:59
the u.s. actively worked getting here in
  • 46:01
    that role by Framing Dominique
  • 46:04
strauss-kahn remember how fast that went
  • 46:06
oh yeah that was a quickie like and it
  • 46:09
was Cyrus Vance yeah Jim Comey's buddy a
  • 46:12
lot of people involved in all that just
  • 46:14
he just part of the same globalist
  • 46:15
network yeah I think so but I but to
  • 46:18
have her in charge of the European
  • 46:20
Central Bank oh man that's interesting
  • 46:22
that's a big deal that's that should be
  • 46:24
fun to watch good old Fifi she has no
  • 46:27
banking experience he's not a banker
  • 46:29
    she's not a banker
  • 46:31
he's a globalist shill so at the at the
  • 46:35
inauguration of all the new members of
  • 46:37
the European Parliament they decided to
  • 46:39
play the european union national anthem
  • 46:42
which is Beethoven's Ode to Joy a fine
  • 46:45
    Austrian composer they always resort
  • 46:48
back to the same kinds of things in
  • 46:50
Germany don't they everybody a minor
  • 46:52
back sooner than later and how the
  • 46:54
    Valkyries are on their way
  • 46:55
and so the brexit party stood up and
  • 46:58
turned their backs as it played they
  • 47:02
played the anthem you see and we didn't
  • 47:04
stand up as the others did all ramrod
  • 47:06
    straight to attention we sat
  • 47:08
and the president of the Parliament mr.
  • 47:09
Dajani Italian said it is polite to
  • 47:13
stand up when the anthem of another
  • 47:16
nation is playing he called this place a
  • 47:19
nation so we obeyed his instructions and
  • 47:22
we did stand up but we just face the
  • 47:24
other way yep you offended a lot of
  • 47:26
people I spoke to Mme piece who said
  • 47:28
they thought it was disrespectful you
  • 47:31
are a member of this Parliament your
  • 47:34
other 28 MEP s remember members of this
  • 47:37
Parliament surely you should have just
  • 47:39
stood up when the anthem was played that
  • 47:41
is in tribute to this Parliament well I
  • 47:44
    think it was disrespectful
  • 47:45
what is disrespectful is to take the
  • 47:47
ancient nation states of Europe and
  • 47:50
    without asking anybody's permission
  • 47:51
attorney into my country because that's
  • 47:54
what the president of the Parliament
  • 47:55
called it this morning I mean that's
  • 47:56
really disgraceful and I'm not gonna
  • 47:59
stand to attention for this anthem no
  • 48:02
way I'll show respect for any anthem of
  • 48:05
any other country in the world but not a
  • 48:07
false creation like this and I think we
  • 48:09
    did the right thing
  • 48:10
no I agree especially when they said
  • 48:14
    it's a nation it's a national anthem of
  • 48:17
    the European nation installation error
  • 48:20
mmm the whole thing is ludicrous may
  • 48:24
have been the guy saying you know you
  • 48:25
will stand for the nationalism of any
  • 48:27
other nation when I stand for this I
  • 48:29
mean I think it may have been a garage
  • 48:32
maybe over oh well he's always been
  • 48:35
against the national anthem of the
  • 48:36
European Union and I can understand
  • 48:38
    they're not a really a union yet I maybe
  • 48:41
should take it Annie get some Nike books
  • 48:47
    while you're at it
  • 48:48
I'm Nike then one other thing out of
  • 48:54
Europe I mean I find myself in an
  • 48:56
    extremely difficult position I I think I
  • 49:00
know what to do but it's very hard for
  • 49:02
me as as you know I'm a big fan of the
  • 49:05
World Cup soccer for women yeah and the
  • 49:09
big games coming up and you're you're
  • 49:11
between a rock and a hard place I've got
  • 49:13
the the the American ladies I've got the
  • 49:16
    Dutch ladies yeah
  • 49:18
    - first of all I'm really happy that
  • 49:20
they both made it to the finals cuz I
  • 49:22
mean this really made my day although
  • 49:24
the game between Sweden and the
  • 49:26
Netherlands uh I was thinking of you
  • 49:29
like this is boring it was a pretty
  • 49:34
boring game it's a very boring game I'd
  • 49:37
like very much that the USA got into the
  • 49:40
    finals without the troublemaker Rapinoe
  • 49:43
so you know it shows that she's not
  • 49:45
necessary to to win matches and that is
  • 49:49
Alex Morgan who was capped who capped
  • 49:52
the the game she did a nice little
  • 49:55
drinking tea at the end they're like
  • 49:57
screw you limeys it was I thought it was
  • 49:59
fantastic the Brits are crazy on Twitter
  • 50:02
they're all mad as it were rude now
  • 50:05
first of all let's start with this they
  • 50:07
make the crazy observation that the
  • 50:10
    Americans are arrogant and rude
  • 50:12
Americans arrogant and rude what what
  • 50:16
there's gambling going on what's holy
  • 50:20
what an insult no this was the insult
  • 50:23
they were playing on Twitter it was well
  • 50:26
the Americans were oh they were laying
  • 50:27
down on the field the whole time there
  • 50:30
are they were faking all their injuries
  • 50:31
but of course they do that because here
  • 50:33
in Europe at least you can get medical
  • 50:35
care I'm like okay well at least we
  • 50:41
brakes it in properly bitch yeah this is
  • 50:50
    great
  • 50:50
I like today I mean the game is best
  • 50:52
dumb game it's boring I'm not a big fan
  • 50:54
but I do like the fact that we have this
  • 50:56
this woman's kick-ass team and you know
  • 50:59
America is typically in their sports
  • 51:02
they likes one team to just be horribly
  • 51:04
dominant and he hateful you first you
  • 51:08
like him because he started under the
  • 51:09
Warriors a good example mm-hmm and then
  • 51:11
they get really big too big for their
  • 51:13
own britches they won't go to the White
  • 51:14
House and just show you know they their
  • 51:17
own the place oh yeah we're expected to
  • 51:19
win then they lose so it's a very common
  • 51:24
    just like a theme it's like a like a
  • 51:26
melodrama it's corny but fun so sunday
  • 51:29
    is the big game
  • 51:30
    so I guess we'll have to run a best-of
  • 51:37
yeah I know what's on it midnight anyway
  • 51:41
isn't something like that yeah but the
  • 51:43
score with the know the game plays way
  • 51:45
before midnight the game audion are
  • 51:47
midnight anyway how can you this this is
  • 51:50
what kills me it's like no I'm not gonna
  • 51:52
watch the game at at night after it's
  • 51:55
    already over
  • 51:56
oh yes dumb yeah so we'll know the score
  • 52:00
live sports the reason with streaming
  • 52:02
services having live sports because the
  • 52:04
word live is important to sports fans
  • 52:07
esight you know it's like the spoiler
  • 52:09
    alert and everything in between
  • 52:11
the in sports it's like you you're it's
  • 52:15
been shown they've done studies if you
  • 52:16
are rooting for one of the teams your
  • 52:18
emotions are pretty much on par with the
  • 52:20
level of the emotions on the team when
  • 52:21
the team wins you're related in a very
  • 52:24
positive way to your system exhibits
  • 52:27
elation and when you lose your system
  • 52:30
you're the fan but you still almost get
  • 52:33
as much depression about losing as the
  • 52:35
team does and so that so you want to
  • 52:37
experience that in real time because you
  • 52:40
can't experience it if it's a three days
  • 52:43
old it's like the exhale bread yes and
  • 52:48
you have to stay away from social media
  • 52:50
and you can't look at anything because
  • 52:52
if people spoil the game there I rarely
  • 52:56
unless it was something that was you
  • 52:58
know some crazy thing took place that
  • 53:01
you'd want to watch it in the replay you
  • 53:03
know I'm the guy that watches about two
  • 53:06
sports games a year one is the Super
  • 53:09
Bowl oh maybe I'll that won't even watch
  • 53:11
the World Series really basketball is
  • 53:14
too fast for me I guess it's just Super
  • 53:15
Bowl and then the World Cup World Cup
  • 53:17
soccer in this case yeah I've been a big
  • 53:19
fan I would be happier if this was
  • 53:22
women's field hockey because I think
  • 53:25
that's that's just like the shorts
  • 53:27
skirts that's that's the sport that
  • 53:29
would make it in America for that very
  • 53:31
reason thank you very much volleyball
  • 53:36
sex is very sexist approach you're
  • 53:39
taking here I don't see it as a man
  • 53:41
versus woman sex thing at all I see it
  • 53:44
    as
  • 53:44
line athletes out there competing and
  • 53:49
it's gonna be the end of this - this
  • 53:52
will be the end of it we're not we won't
  • 53:54
beat you I mean you just enjoy well you
  • 53:56
    can't because pretty soon men
  • 53:58
identifying his women will be become the
  • 54:01
USA national women's team yeah just a
  • 54:04
bunch of big burly guys let's dudes
  • 54:07
winning well luckily that hasn't crept
  • 54:12
into FIFA yet so I guess we're lucky in
  • 54:15
that regard man anything there was a lot
  • 54:21
of noise about the wall and the cages
  • 54:24
wait maybe start here the because we be
  • 54:30
another the end of this month until we
  • 54:31
get more democratic debates but I did
  • 54:34
just want to play two clips about Kamala
  • 54:38
Harris now she has been backtracking her
  • 54:43
her hand raising to the give
  • 54:47
    undocumented immigrants universal health
  • 54:51
care which was the entire lineup on that
  • 54:55
evening of the debates they all like
  • 54:57
yeah sure no problem oment in the debate
  • 55:03
was when every candidate was asked to
  • 55:04
raise their hand if they would abolish
  • 55:06
private insurance in that moment you
  • 55:09
raised your hand but afterwards your
  • 55:11
campaign says actually that's not your
  • 55:12
position so what is your position on
  • 55:14
private insurance so the question was
  • 55:17
would you be willing to give up your
  • 55:19
private insurance that's not how it was
  • 55:23
right okay yeah it's necessarily what I
  • 55:26
heard okay let's just remind miss Harris
  • 55:29
of what was actually asked raise your
  • 55:32
hand it covered if your government plan
  • 55:33
    would provide coverage for undocumented
  • 55:37
that's not quite the same as if you
  • 55:39
would do that and in terms of I am
  • 55:42
supportive of Medicare for all and under
  • 55:45
    Medicare for all policy private
  • 55:47
insurance would certainly exist and for
  • 55:49
    supplemental coverage but Medicare for
  • 55:52
all and my vision of it we would
  • 55:54
actually extend benefits so for example
  • 55:56
vision care dental care hearing aids
  • 55:58
which work we are not covered and anyone
  • 56:01
you know who's a senior can tell you
  • 56:02
they're extremely a jurist massive and
  • 56:04
people have to come out of pocket you
  • 56:06
don't have to be a senior to have
  • 56:07
hearing aids I'm not voting for her pay
  • 56:09
for them included in my perspective on
  • 56:12
the issue of private insurance is this
  • 56:14
and I told the story last night
  • 56:16
look any night in America there is some
  • 56:19
parent who's got a child who has a fever
  • 56:21
blah blah blah I don't want to hear her
  • 56:23
death be on the lookout for the term
  • 56:27
weaponized ignorant be on the lookout
  • 56:31
for it yes okay yeah this is as there
  • 56:36
have been black leaders out there taught
  • 56:38
if you if you're talking about
  • 56:40
    Kamla Harris not being african-american
  • 56:43
not being an American black let's say
  • 56:47
you were Atos then you will be called
  • 56:49
out for your weaponized ignorant house
  • 56:53
it weaponized I mean I guess a being
  • 56:56
call out for your ignorant even though
  • 56:58
    there's no ignorance involved it's
  • 57:00
actually a deeper understanding but you
  • 57:02
can say that's ignorance from an
  • 57:03
ignorant point of view what's the weapon
  • 57:07
is I don't know but I'm just telling
  • 57:09
them I'm seeing this I'm hearing this
  • 57:11
weaponize ignorance I have the to camel
  • 57:15
versus Don junior tweets clips okay they
  • 57:19
were taken to an extreme on Democracy
  • 57:21
Now with just a lot of bullshit
  • 57:23
    California senator and presidential
  • 57:25
candidate Kamala Harris is writing a new
  • 57:28
wave of momentum following her debate
  • 57:30
    performance last week when she
  • 57:32
challenged Joe Biden's past history of
  • 57:34
    working with segregationist lawmakers
  • 57:37
and his opposition to busing to
  • 57:39
    integrate schools and in 1970s
  • 57:41
well Harris has jumped in several
  • 57:43
opinion polls there's been also a
  • 57:44
    right-wing backlash online on Thursday
  • 57:48
    the president
  • 57:48
son Donald Trump jr. retweeted a message
  • 57:51
    from an ultra-right personality that
  • 57:53
read quote Carla Harris is not an
  • 57:55
American black she's half Indian and
  • 57:57
half Jamaican I'm so sick of people
  • 57:59
robbing American blacks like myself of
  • 58:02
    our history it's disgusting
  • 58:03
    Harris's family were actually slave
  • 58:05
owners so the tweet said Donald Trump
  • 58:08
jr. reposted this so the tweet said yeah
  • 58:12
so the tweet said so now when she says
  • 58:16
that is she implied when she said the
  • 58:19
way she positions this comment this is
  • 58:23
implying that the tweet is bullshit
  • 58:25
because yes the same saying she claimed
  • 58:29
it's like it's not just like claimed but
  • 58:34
it was also the intonation so the tweet
  • 58:37
said in other words Campbell Harris is
  • 58:40
not Jamaican and Indian and her parent
  • 58:43
here and her ancestors never owned
  • 58:46
slaves is that what Amy is implying
  • 58:51
weaponizing said that she's half Indian
  • 58:55
half Jamaican and her ancestors owned
  • 58:58
    slaves
  • 58:58
yeah is that true or not that is true
  • 59:01
well then why is Amy implying that is
  • 59:04
not true because Amy is a douchebag okay
  • 59:09
continue off of our history it's
  • 59:11
    disgusting
  • 59:12
    Harris's family were actually slave
  • 59:14
owners so the tweet said Donald Trump
  • 59:17
jr. reposted the tweet adding is this
  • 59:20
    true Wow
  • 59:22
Trump jr. then deleted the tweet later
  • 59:26
that night after coming under fire from
  • 59:28
    several other twenty20 presidential
  • 59:31
    candidates including Joe Biden who
  • 59:33
tweeted quote the same forces of hatred
  • 59:34
    Rudin birtherism that questioned Barack
  • 59:36
    Obama's American citizenship and even
  • 59:38
his racial identity are now being used
  • 59:41
    against Senator Kamala Harris unquote
  • 59:43
now please tell me that right after that
  • 59:45
Amy and her Democracy Now cohorts went
  • 59:49
into Kamala's parents and their history
  • 59:52
and and where she grew up in where she
  • 59:55
went to school and and her true heritage
  • 59:57
they did that I'm sure it's democracy
  • 59:59
    now after all
  • 1:00:00
I'd like the fact that you use using my
  • 1:00:02
bit I know it's crazy I'm doing sports
  • 1:00:05
I'm doing your well let's answer that
  • 1:00:07
question with the next thing that
  • 1:00:09
    happens here 2020 Democratic
  • 1:00:11
    presidential hopeful Julian Castro told
  • 1:00:13
CNN Donald Trump jr. behaved like a
  • 1:00:15
coward this is the game these folks play
  • 1:00:18
they put something out there you notice
  • 1:00:20
what he did he tweeted it out and then
  • 1:00:23
he deleted it like a coward so he can
  • 1:00:26
say oh that was just a mistake but he
  • 1:00:27
knows what he's doing he's giving voice
  • 1:00:30
to these racist you know utterances
  • 1:00:35
about Senator Harris you know we need to
  • 1:00:39
dispel them immediately and condemn them
  • 1:00:41
and then not give them any more life
  • 1:00:43
    because they're disgusting
  • 1:00:46
well I'm no that is clearly no that's a
  • 1:00:52
no instead they attack him as being a
  • 1:00:55
racist pig now the thing that's
  • 1:00:59
interesting to me about this little
  • 1:01:01
brouhaha and which is based on the
  • 1:01:04
simple fact that she's half Indian half
  • 1:01:06
Jamaican I mean so what well they just
  • 1:01:08
admit it no no you can't admit it so
  • 1:01:12
this is what's the interesting it but
  • 1:01:14
    the and that's a fact
  • 1:01:16
and then so they try to twist it into a
  • 1:01:19
version of birtherism oh yeah that's if
  • 1:01:23
I am because how does that work in
  • 1:01:26
logically if it does not she doesn't
  • 1:01:29
they're just the trick I'll tell you why
  • 1:01:31
because I listen to this thing this is
  • 1:01:35
    diluted yes what yes
  • 1:01:37
okay first of all if you ask anyone any
  • 1:01:42
white person in America and anywhere in
  • 1:01:44
the world probably what was Barack Obama
  • 1:01:48
    they will say America's first
  • 1:01:50
african-american president he was not in
  • 1:01:52
fact if you believe that he was the
  • 1:01:55
story that he was born in Indonesia or a
  • 1:01:58
born of an Indonesian father and a white
  • 1:02:01
mother in Hawaii then he is not African
  • 1:02:04
American he's not ados he is black brown
  • 1:02:07
whatever you want to call it does not
  • 1:02:09
have the the complete black experience
  • 1:02:11
of African Americans now if you want to
  • 1:02:14
believe he was born in Kenya yeah I mean
  • 1:02:17
you can say he's African / American but
  • 1:02:20
not the same as African America does not
  • 1:02:22
have the same the same background but
  • 1:02:25
they were compared the comparison of
  • 1:02:27
Kamala Harris who was also not African
  • 1:02:29
    American American descendant of slavery
  • 1:02:32
that's how you get that comparison they
  • 1:02:34
need to pull that apart pull it away
  • 1:02:37
from the god Obama who also was not
  • 1:02:40
African American and so they use
  • 1:02:41
    something convenient it's it's I think a
  • 1:02:44
    dangerous strategy but it's very
  • 1:02:45
convenient because you get to say that's
  • 1:02:48
    birtherism which immediately makes it
  • 1:02:50
racist and something Trump did which is
  • 1:02:52
also not true but Trump is universally
  • 1:02:55
    land for startling birtherism the
  • 1:02:58
    Republicans have got
  • 1:02:59
to get back on the old track that
  • 1:03:01
Hillary is the one who came up with the
  • 1:03:03
birth to River campaign group her boys
  • 1:03:06
are campaign yeah in particular that one
  • 1:03:09
guys that eludes me but it's their
  • 1:03:11
strategy it was during the campaign in
  • 1:03:14
2008 that this came up it wasn't had
  • 1:03:17
nothing to do with Trump in 2016 you
  • 1:03:21
know that was eight years later that the
  • 1:03:23
Trump started well actually he started
  • 1:03:25
maybe a couple years earlier just as I
  • 1:03:27
think as a lark but I have I have a clip
  • 1:03:31
here which will just dump out of him
  • 1:03:33
we're done with this was a call-in show
  • 1:03:35
on Whur 96.3 this is Howard University
  • 1:03:38
radio college radio but not a small
  • 1:03:41
station dr. Greg Carr he's the chair of
  • 1:03:44
    the afro-american studies for Howard
  • 1:03:46
University and well listen this exchange
  • 1:03:49
let me see if I can get it thanks for
  • 1:03:51
    calling what's on your mind
  • 1:03:52
thank you for having me good evening to
  • 1:03:55
you also dr. Carr Steve umbrella
  • 1:03:58
I was calling today actually because I
  • 1:04:00
am actually a one of the people that is
  • 1:04:02
a part of the Atos movement the American
  • 1:04:06
descended in slavery movement and I
  • 1:04:08
actually I'm engaged with you actually
  • 1:04:10
on Twitter mr. Carr I actually wanted to
  • 1:04:13
make a couple things clear actually the
  • 1:04:14
conversation for us at least or on
  • 1:04:17
Twitter or with I think a large portion
  • 1:04:19
of black America I'm not saying all has
  • 1:04:21
nothing to do with Kamala Harris new
  • 1:04:22
class it really doesn't most black
  • 1:04:24
people don't even care about that what
  • 1:04:26
we're talking about is lineage and
  • 1:04:28
    ethnicity that's what we're talking
  • 1:04:29
about and if your family comes rooted
  • 1:04:31
out of Jamaica all of your cars in your
  • 1:04:33
    grandparents he can't be African
  • 1:04:35
American it's very simple now when I say
  • 1:04:38
    african-american I mean a descendant of
  • 1:04:40
    us chattel slavery I don't mean a
  • 1:04:42
    second-generation person whose parents
  • 1:04:44
    partner his over native-born African
  • 1:04:46
okay so that's kind of the issue the
  • 1:04:49
other issue that we're dealing with is
  • 1:04:50
that black America has learned from the
  • 1:04:52
Obama administration I would have to
  • 1:04:54
agree with you mr. car here that Obama
  • 1:04:55
is not the greatest president at all and
  • 1:04:57
if you look at his policies he actually
  • 1:04:59
took away more from HBCU funding than
  • 1:05:02
George Bush did which most black people
  • 1:05:03
don't know but we've been largely an
  • 1:05:05
apolitical group with any more or less
  • 1:05:07
doing it with an awareness and trying to
  • 1:05:10
    instill a political education or
  • 1:05:13
    awareness
  • 1:05:13
    in the african-american community the
  • 1:05:15
largely lack this has this policy do not
  • 1:05:18
support black people that's the problem
  • 1:05:20
not only their records not support black
  • 1:05:22
people but black people's in telling
  • 1:05:24
every candidate we want a black agenda
  • 1:05:26
here this is to black candidates have
  • 1:05:29
one so that would be something that
  • 1:05:31
black people should be looking at they
  • 1:05:33
    supposedly these are black candidates
  • 1:05:35
    supposedly African American mr. Booker
  • 1:05:37
is for sure but these people don't
  • 1:05:39
actually have anything for black people
  • 1:05:42
what they have is to share for everyone
  • 1:05:44
else but h-1b one with which my parents
  • 1:05:47
actually support for Indians which he is
  • 1:05:49
an Indian first because that's okay that
  • 1:05:54
was pretty funny hey h-1b one of course
  • 1:05:56
she wants to do that's her own people
  • 1:05:58
for the Indians that she's having the
  • 1:05:59
addicted also behind night service the
  • 1:06:02
black community the actual data hold on
  • 1:06:07
for a second there go ahead doctor car
  • 1:06:08
yeah I was gonna say the brother Derek I
  • 1:06:10
know you hang on for a few minutes this
  • 1:06:12
is this is the kind of weaponized
  • 1:06:14
ignorant get a das this hashtag is
  • 1:06:18
promoting there is no and there you have
  • 1:06:20
it weaponized ignorant and he's going
  • 1:06:23
against us you say so this is Karl just
  • 1:06:25
laid out everything that is clip of the
  • 1:06:27
day for me two more times
  • 1:06:35
this guy doctor car who's an apologist I
  • 1:06:39
guess her someone or something and the
  • 1:06:41
Democrats is just a Democrat and so he's
  • 1:06:44
just gonna he's not putting up in
  • 1:06:46
anything see a lot of black Democrats
  • 1:06:49
actually blood more white than black a
  • 1:06:52
lot of Democrats period do not want to
  • 1:06:54
see anyone who's black get out of line
  • 1:06:57
don't you they're getting out alive
  • 1:06:59
exactly up in property well listen
  • 1:07:02
listen to 30 seconds you know you don't
  • 1:07:04
speak for anyone other than yourself I
  • 1:07:06
hope you don't embrace the extreme
  • 1:07:08
xenophobia of Antonio more or you hate
  • 1:07:13
carne Lisa and Tony or more is the guy
  • 1:07:16
we played who does YouTube's from his
  • 1:07:18
    car yeah extreme xenophobia
  • 1:07:20
sorry I'm not hearing a doctor car they
  • 1:07:22
broadcast on YouTube some these other
  • 1:07:24
    venues
  • 1:07:25
I'm not sure if you understand I mean
  • 1:07:27
you know just so we're very clear we say
  • 1:07:29
we have the data I assume you're talking
  • 1:07:30
about sandy dirty my colleague sandy
  • 1:07:33
dirty at Duke none of this and I'm sure
  • 1:07:36
you've also read the platform's of all
  • 1:07:38
    the candidates for Democratic nomination
  • 1:07:41
or seen the debates for example their
  • 1:07:44
positions on appointments to the federal
  • 1:07:46
    bench the Trump administration is
  • 1:07:48
appointed about a fifth of the federal
  • 1:07:50
bench in the last two years these are
  • 1:07:52
the judges that will decide our fates
  • 1:07:55
the fates of the people who claim to be
  • 1:07:58
speaking for the majority of black
  • 1:08:00
people and not only is it incredibly
  • 1:08:02
    short-sighted and deeply under-informed
  • 1:08:05
it's really weaponized ignorant to talk
  • 1:08:07
    about anything from reparations to
  • 1:08:10
immigration visas as you know these are
  • 1:08:13
the single issues facing the black
  • 1:08:16
community and and dear God with all due
  • 1:08:18
respect brother I think anyone listening
  • 1:08:21
to what you've laid out of last 60 to 90
  • 1:08:24
seconds can come away very clear about
  • 1:08:28
one thing this is not an informed
  • 1:08:33
political opinion and as far as this who
  • 1:08:36
is black and who is not black
  • 1:08:38
uh I would encourage you to study not
  • 1:08:40
    only long histories reparations movement
  • 1:08:41
but the history of African solidarity
  • 1:08:44
movements with and on and on I'll put it
  • 1:08:46
    in the show notes
  • 1:08:47
the whole thing is kind of inter
  • 1:08:48
interesting to listen to there it is
  • 1:08:51
shut up shut up you're ignorant and your
  • 1:08:57
line and your weapon hey the two old
  • 1:09:01
white guys over here they they see
  • 1:09:03
what's going on we hear it oh that guy
  • 1:09:07
that that a das guy they've called in is
  • 1:09:10
    the G knows what's going on - he's not
  • 1:09:12
gonna put up with this bullcrap
  • 1:09:13
    thank goodness affiliates are pissed
  • 1:09:21
once again so with that I'd like to
  • 1:09:23
thank you very much for your courage and
  • 1:09:24
say in the morning to you the man who
  • 1:09:26
put the C in the colonial flag
  • 1:09:27
Jhansi anybody knew machete boots the
  • 1:09:32
graphene dear sons the war games nice
  • 1:09:34
    out there
  • 1:09:34
morning to all the trolls who who did
  • 1:09:37
    show up to
  • 1:09:38
hey I know it's a tough one let me see
  • 1:09:39
what we got in our a troll room we've
  • 1:09:42
got hmm 837 not bad for a fourth of July
  • 1:09:47
appreciate y'all showing up that is no
  • 1:09:49
agenda stream comm where we had live
  • 1:09:52
    priests dreams today there's always
  • 1:09:53
something cool going on Nick the rat
  • 1:09:55
last night you can go to no agenda
  • 1:09:57
scream calm where you can hop on the on
  • 1:10:00
the stream listen what's going on in
  • 1:10:01
real time you control you can just do
  • 1:10:04
whatever you want pretty much troll and
  • 1:10:05
I'd like to thank our artists who
  • 1:10:08
brought us the artwork for episode 1151
  • 1:10:10
the title of that was brand purpose now
  • 1:10:12
this was Nick the rat who I just
  • 1:10:15
mentioned who brought us the the album
  • 1:10:17
art it was the rainbow pride no agenda
  • 1:10:20
art which we had a tough choice I'm
  • 1:10:26
gonna go look at the art so we can cuz
  • 1:10:28
once in a while it's nice to talk about
  • 1:10:29
how what we did why we chose the art
  • 1:10:31
that we chose and that sort of thing
  • 1:10:33
well there were reasons why we didn't
  • 1:10:35
    choose some otherwise really good
  • 1:10:36
contenders yeah and I think it should be
  • 1:10:39
discussed at least at least oh by the
  • 1:10:42
way Thorin remember Thorin yeah Dory who
  • 1:10:46
knew disappeared he he tweeted he
  • 1:10:48
tweeted this morning he said guys I'm
  • 1:10:51
    not over board
  • 1:10:52
I I no longer have the same dude named
  • 1:10:55
Ben job that I have so I no longer have
  • 1:10:57
an opportunity to listen live and do the
  • 1:11:02
artwork and but he's he's still on board
  • 1:11:04
and he's yes you have to listen live
  • 1:11:08
yeah there's no other way to do that so
  • 1:11:11
we had and some Nike stuff which was not
  • 1:11:14
really appropriate when I like the most
  • 1:11:17
but it was not it was another Nick the
  • 1:11:19
rat piece which was biting with the
  • 1:11:21
makeup on I'm not sorry Bernie with the
  • 1:11:24
makeup on which was kind of a I saw it
  • 1:11:26
excited this with Al Gore I had done a
  • 1:11:29
picture and I use it over and over again
  • 1:11:30
in my blog and elsewhere Al Gore wearing
  • 1:11:33
eye shadow and red lips because of that
  • 1:11:35
one debate that he was in that one time
  • 1:11:37
we're against Bush where they have so
  • 1:11:39
much makeup on oh yeah I forgot about
  • 1:11:42
    that
  • 1:11:42
yes he was a it's just so I just did it
  • 1:11:45
over the top and so I thought this
  • 1:11:46
particular who won with Bernie with the
  • 1:11:49
red lips was pretty funny then they were
  • 1:11:52
here's the one that I wanted the one
  • 1:11:54
that I really wanted to be good was by
  • 1:11:56
Darren O'Neill and it was based on the
  • 1:11:59
Knitting community if you don't call out
  • 1:12:01
Trump as a racist in the Knitting
  • 1:12:03
community and he had he had the knitted
  • 1:12:06
sweater with Trump sucks but then the
  • 1:12:09
    knitting needles look like chopsticks
  • 1:12:12
well the knitting needles weren't look
  • 1:12:14
like chopsticks a and B my complaint was
  • 1:12:16
    he didn't and I don't I mean there you
  • 1:12:19
don't have a lot of time to do this art
  • 1:12:21
so this is a speed art
  • 1:12:22
yeah and no disrespect we're just we're
  • 1:12:24
just routine yard is tough it's rough
  • 1:12:26
and this hardened but people do it and
  • 1:12:28
they can do it and it can be done it's a
  • 1:12:29
tough go what he had to do here and I
  • 1:12:31
know it was easy or not easy because not
  • 1:12:34
    everybody can texturize the despont
  • 1:12:37
so he needed the texturized the font so
  • 1:12:40
it looked like knitting and font yeah
  • 1:12:42
that's also true so that was the mistake
  • 1:12:44
    I didn't like it that's the reason I got
  • 1:12:46
rejected then we had the pedo bear
  • 1:12:49
which was your favorite I think it was
  • 1:12:52
pretty funny but he can't use the pedo
